A little sunshine for the recovery
Get well flowers & hospital delivery in NYC
A bright arrangement or a long-lasting orchid can change the whole feel of a hospital room or a recovery week at home. Jerome Florists has delivered to the Upper East Side's hospitals for generations — we know what each one allows, and we make sure your gift arrives right.
Same-day delivery: order by 3 PM ET — $15 in Manhattan, $25 in Brooklyn & Queens. For hospital orders, add the hospital, floor or unit, and patient name at checkout so we can deliver without delays.
We know the hospitals
Mount Sinai is two blocks from our shop, and we deliver to Lenox Hill and NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell every week. If a unit has restrictions, we'll tell you before you order.
What travels best
Compact, spill-proof arrangements and orchids in sealed containers suit bedside tables — and we skip strongly scented blooms, which many patients find overwhelming.
For longer recoveries
A Phalaenopsis orchid or potted plant lasts for weeks with almost no care — the right choice for rehabilitation stays or a slow mend at home.
Hospital flower rules, in plain English
Most general medical and surgical wards welcome fresh flowers. ICU and cardiac units usually don't; oncology and immunocompromised units typically allow no fresh-cut flowers at all (a potted plant in closed soil is often fine). Lenox Hill asks for spill-proof vases; Mount Sinai's policy varies by floor — when in doubt, call the patient's unit, or call us and we'll help you pick something that will be allowed.
If flowers aren't permitted where they are right now, we can schedule delivery for the day they come home instead — often the moment a bright arrangement means the most.

Frequently asked questions
Can I send flowers to a hospital room in NYC?
Usually yes — most general wards accept fresh flowers. Include the hospital, floor or unit, and patient name at checkout, and we'll flag anything the unit won't allow before it ships.
What if they're in the ICU or an oncology unit?
Fresh-cut flowers are usually not permitted there. A sealed-container plant may be allowed — or we can hold your order and deliver the day they're discharged home.
Do you deliver get-well flowers to Mount Sinai the same day?
Yes — Mount Sinai is two blocks from our shop. Order by 3 PM ET with the patient's floor or unit and we can typically deliver the same day.
What should the card say?
Short and warm beats long and formal: "Thinking of you — heal up soon." Your card message is free, hand-written, and added at checkout.
